Submitted by: Sally Ryan

The Perfect Body! I have a very vivid image of this perfect body that I would like to havethin, cirby, athletic and extremely fit. I can even give this body a name. Those of you who follow professional tennis will recognize the name.Samantha Stosur.

But face it, in reality I will probably never have this body that I so admire for a variety of reasons, mainly because I have neither the time nor the energy develop and maintain the level of fitness that would produce my ideal body. That Sam is about 40 years younger than me could also be a contributing factor.

An old adage comes to mind make the best of what you have and I realize that this wise saying applies to us all. We all are different sizes and shapes, but regardless we can al look our best by selecting clothing that emphasizes our physical assets.

For health care employees whose job requires them to wear a uniform it is still possible to dress attractively and fashionably.. Nurses can still look good in their uniforms scrubs while following the dress code of the healthcare facility where they are employed.

Uniform scrubs have a whole new look with fashion colors and new figure flattering styles. These are often paired wth matching colored shoes and coordinating solid or patterned socks.

In the twenty years that I spent helping health care workers select appropriate uniform scrubs I have developed a set of guidelines to aid in the selection of figure flattering uniform scrubs.

1.Full Breasted Women be proud, but dont flaunt it.. If you are fortunate o have a big chest, remember to avoid scrub tops that have big prints or are low cut. Giving Mr. Jones a good look at your cleavage while bending over his bed might not be the cardiac stimulation that the doctor ordered.

2.The Pear. Divert attention upward by wearing wide V neck uniform scrub tops to show off your neck and face. Elongate your legs by wearing pants with a straight cut.

3.Make the most of full figured bodies. Small prints and solid colors will not accentuate size. Select uniform scrubs that fit properly and that are not too tight. Tightness emphasizes weight.

4.Petite people finally have a choice. Select pants that come in petite sizing for better fit. Keep prints and accessories small.

5.The tall body. Lucky you, you can wear just about any style. Look for pants that have a tall size designation if you have extra long legs.

Check the many online stores to buy fashionable uniform scrubs hat will compliment your body type and style. Be sure to check for petites and talls in uniforms scrubs pants if you fall into these categories.

The health care uniform, whether it be a traditional white uniform or scrubs, is a symbol of knowledge. It represents the long hours studying anatomy or meds, the hours spent in clinical practice, the numerous nights spent cramming for tests. Symbolically, the knowledge learned is represented by the capping ceremony and graduation.

The uniform worn by a nurse is their badge of knowledge. It is the physical representation of years of studying and work that went into achieving that precious nursing degree. So choose your uniform wisely and wear it proudly. You know you are looking your best.
